What’s on the checklist
This checklist will give you a clear outline of what you might need, including:

- Instructions for getting past transcripts and test scores
- Time estimates so you can plan ahead for key steps
- What to do after you hit “submit”
Looking for a summary?
Here’s a quick overview of the typical application process:
1. Get started through your benefit site
Make sure you kick things off using the “Get Started” button on the page for the program you chose. This is how the school will know to apply your benefit to your tuition. It’s also how an application advisor will know to get in touch with you.
2. Create an account
Most schools will ask you to set up an online account. This lets you start your application, save your progress, and finish it later if you need to.
3. Have your transcripts handy
Some programs may ask for official transcripts from past schools. If you don’t have those yet, unofficial copies can help you get started. (Your application advisor will help you figure this out.)
4. Set aside some time
Completing an application can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours. It depends on the program and what information you have ready.
5. Be sure to ask for help
Your application advisor will be available to support you through the entire process. They can walk you through program requirements, getting transcripts, and financial aid.
You’re not doing this alone
Whether you’re new to college or going back after a break, you will have support every step of the way. Get started with a program now to get expert help with the application process.
